Common Names: Mayhaw, May Haw, May Hawthorn
 
Description: Crataegus aestivalis (Mayhaw) is a member of the Rose Family (Rosaceae). The Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 3, p. 200 lists 14 species of Crataegus, but not this one.  Mayhaws are native to wetlands in the Southeastern United States.
