Common Names: Strawflower, Golden Everlasting 
 
Description: Xerochrysum bractaetum (Strawflower) is a member of the Aster Family (Asteraceae). The Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 5 recorded this species (then called Elichrysum bractaetum) was native to New Holland (Australia), and was first cultivated in Britain in 1799.
