Common Names: Stapelia, Carrion Flower
 
Description: Stapelia sp. (Stapelia) is a member of the Dogbane Family (Apocynaceae). William Aiton's 1812 Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 2 recorded forty-four species of this genus, all native of the Cape of Good Hope and all introduced to cultivation in Europe by 1800.
