Common Names: Fuchsia, Scarlet Fuchsia, Lady's Eardrop
Description: Fuchsia coccinea (Fuchsia) is a member of the Willowherb or Evening Primrose Family (Onagraceae). The Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 2 lists this species, native to "Chili" (i.e.Chile), as being introduced to cultivation in Britain in 1788.
