Common Names: Aztec Lily, Jacobean Lily 
 
Description: Sprekelia formosissima (Aztec Lily) is a member of the Amaryllis Family (Amaryllidaceae). The Hortus Kewensis, ed. 2, vol. 2 recorded that this native of South America (published as Amaryllis formosissima) was introduced to Britain in 1658.
